Naomi Pacifique is a Swiss-Dutch multi-disciplinary artist.
She grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland, and moved to the UK to pursue her multi-disciplinary practice. She graduated from Oxford University with an Mst in Creative Writing and from London Film School with an MA in Filmmaking. Her graduation film, after a room, was awarded the Pardino d'Argento Swiss Life at the 74th edition of Locarno International Film Festival in August 2021, among other awards at International Film Festivals.
Across the arts, Naomi's work interests itself in intimacy and the spaces found there to discover and reinvent both oneself and the environment one is surrounded by.
She was part of Berlinale Talents Short Form Station 2022 and took part in the 'Apichaptong Weerasethakul Lab: Filming in the Amazong' in 2022 also.
In April 2022, she released her first single in 4 years 'the sea is coming in'. Her work has been published by Ambit Magazine, exhibited in London Gallery Cafés, and performed in London and Oxford venues.
The last short film she produced and assistant directed, Filipiñana, was awarded the Silver Bear Shorts Jury Prize at the 70th Berlinale, among several other awards at international film festivals.
She is co-founder and co-director of Idle Eye production company, alongside Rafael Manuel & Albert Kuhn.
She is currently based in Amsterdam, with secondary bases in Geneva, Lima and London.
